About Rebecca

I’m running because I believe our communities deserve a representative who sees people not as “you versus me,” but as all of us working toward solutions together.

I grew up facing real challenges, including poverty and instability, and I’ve seen how hard it can be when systems don’t work the way they should. Those experiences shaped how I approach people, with empathy, honesty, and a focus on finding a way forward. I’ve spent my career helping others navigate those same challenges, whether it was connecting people to healthcare, reducing medical debt, or helping families access the support they need. Today, as a substitute teacher and small business owner, I stay grounded in the realities people are facing every day. I listen, I show up, and I work to solve problems.

I’m not interested in division or political games. I believe there’s a place for every perspective, and real progress comes from listening, finding common ground, and working together.

  • I’ve helped people in Sanford erase almost a million dollars in medical debt and get back on their feet.

  • In healthcare, I worked directly with people in crisis—helping them access care, reduce or eliminate medical debt, and find housing, food, and stability.

  • I took the insurance companies to task, making sure they paid what they owed and covered what they should.

  • When I look around our communities I don’t see you or me, I see you and me.

What Matters Most

Bipartisanship & Practical Solutions

Government isn’t working the way it should because too many people are focused on division instead of solutions, and the people we entrust with our power don’t show up for us. I believe in listening to all sides and finding common ground. This isn’t about left versus right—it’s about doing what’s best for our communities. I’ll listen when you speak, and show up for you.

Economic Stability & Opportunity

I’ve lived through financial hardship and worked multiple jobs just to get by. I understand what it’s like to struggle and to depend on temporary assistance while trying to build something better. I want to focus on policies that help people achieve stability so fewer families feel stuck, and more people have a real chance to move forward.

Helping People Navigate Broken Systems

Too many people feel like the system is stacked against them. I’ve spent years helping people find housing, food, jobs, and support when they didn’t know where to turn. I know how frustrating and confusing these systems can be, and I know how to make them work for people. I will focus on making government more responsive and easier to navigate so people can actually get the help they need.

Fixing Healthcare & Lowering Medical Burdens

I’ve worked directly with people struggling to access healthcare and drowning in medical debt, and I’ve seen how broken the system can be. I’ve helped people erase overwhelming debt and connect to the care and resources they need. We can do better, and I will fight for practical solutions that make healthcare more accessible and less financially devastating for families.
